GDS Cabinets
G1e+
The Hybrex G1e+ can be fitted with an MPU to become a GDS, with this upgrade it gains ALL of the features of the larger GDS systems with only physical limitations holding it back. Multiple MPU's are available including those with built in VoIP lines/stations or advanced Voicemail.

GDS 40 and GDS 64
Before the GDS was released there was a brief period for the G2, it's largely identical to the GDS 64 but uses the same software interface of the older G1 systems with double the capacity (48phones and 16 lines...64ports) early Hybrex GDS systems used these 64 port cabinets or they used the 40 port cabinet.
Neither is available new and both can be easily identified as they have a bevelled vertical edge instead of a rounded edge. both are fully capable of all the latest features as the MPU software is independant of which cabinet it resides in. The cabinets are driven by a separate card known as the IPU.
GDS 80, 160, 320, 640
The Hybrex GDS 80 cabinet is supremely flexible, each cabinet has 10 slots of 8 physical port, thus the 80 designation. It also features 2 further virtual slots which have a few uses but are largely for the use of primary rate ISDN. Unlike other phone systems these ports are not the systems limit. it supports a further two voicemail units per cabinet so each 80port cabinet supports closer to 120ports fully configured.
Furthermore the Standard MPU is actually a dual cabinet card so changing to the next size up, the GDS 160 is a very simple affair. all of the capacity and programming is already there.
in order push past 160 physical ports, you'll need the GDS 320 MPU. this card offers the capacity of 4 80 port cabinets.
should you need to exceed that the next MPU supports 8 cabinets, the Hybrex GDS 640 is the namesake of the Cabinets and where the GDS 600 badge derives it's name.
Hybrex GDS 1280
If you need the largest Hybrex available or you have very large plans for expansion, the GDS 1280 switches from using an MPU and has it's own dedicated processor cabinet. up to 16 80 port cabinets connect directly to the GDS 1280.
